ATCC (Asian Touring Car Championship) starts this year’s Asian Touring racing series 1st Round in China, Guang Dong International Circuit (GIC). Buddy Club Japan Race team manager Kakimoto Mitoshi leads team Buddy Club Japan/ Team AAI entering this year’s 10 rounds ATCC race series with highly modified Racing Spec. 280hp FN2 & Racing Spec. 280hp Accord CL7 Type-R with race tech. support from Buddy Club Japan, Honda Racing Team Italy, Honda Racing Team UK, & Mugen Japan.
For this year’s ATCS race series, Buddy Club Japan choose top elite Buddy Club international driver Jun San, and new Buddy Club race driver Morris Han from USA. With the strong race team line-up and highly tuned race cars from Buddy Club, competing against with 19 best race teams from South East Asia. After 4 days of track testing, fine-tuning, qualifing, and official race, Buddy Club International elite driver Jun San & team Buddy Club Japan won the 1st place victory in ATCC China round clocked the fastest time with 1:21.834sec.Qualifing /1.22.257sec. official race in the 2.8km GIC Circuit.
During the 2nd Round official race day in GIC China, after extreme racing condition on track Buddy Club Jun San’s FN2 running into electronic power steering malfunction, end up racing with difficulty in high speed cornering, but Jun San still manage to finish the race with 1.23.506sec 3rd place victory winner in Round 2. For the Buddy Club Accord CL7 Type-R, Unfortunately under extreme racing condition, Han’s Accord CL7 running into some mechanical difficulty in 1st Round, end up back into the pit in early race with the DNS score on chart, but with more high-modify tuning going underway, we will expect to see more Buddy Club Racing Spec.
